This past Friday, your Bills Backers Chapter Presidents had the opportunity to get a look at your 2018 Buffalo Bills. For anyone that has not been to training camp before, it is a pretty neat experience. I must say that St. John Fisher College is really nice! It is really well organized and easy to get around while you are there. We parked at one of the designated parking lots and took a shuttle to the college. Once you get through a security checkpoint, you are on the way. We were there for about 3 hours. This was enough time to check out the practice and do our observations of what the team may look this year. I am never one to make predictions, but the practice teams looked pretty good! I would have to say that if there was a starter at quarterback, I would pick AJ McCarron. Now before anyone says anything, Nathan Peterman tossed a pass down field 68 yards to his receiver for a touchdown. Josh Allen for a rookie looked decent. I feel like this is going to be one of the more interesting quarterback situations in the league. The rest of the drills that we watched were pretty good from what we could tell.
If you are going to camp and looking for autographs from your favorite player, there are certain areas that you will have access to and others you won't. Unfortunately, your chapter presidents didn't get the good access, which we will be working on for next year. I did manage to get my favorite player to autograph a hat for me. If you are seeking autographs, just look to whichever field they are not practicing on, that is where the players were signing, away from the craziness of the practices.
