I just wanted to take a moment to reflect on the weekend. Yes, the outcome wasn't what everyone wanted, but this weekend was much more than just a football game for me. You see, this weekend was about meeting new people that all have a love for the Buffalo Bills. My journey to becoming a Bills fan is an interesting one. If you talked with Stacy or myself this weekend, you probably heard that I haven't always been a Bills fan. As Pinto Kenny said it best this morning, of all the curse words you could use, the team I was a fan of is one of them. I was a Patriots fan. But that all changed nine years ago when I met Stacy. I became a fan on my own. This weekend reaffirmed the reason why I chose to be a Buffalo Bills fan.
I met so many wonderful individuals this weekend! I had so many of you coming up to me and starting conversations with me like we had known each other for a long time. A lot of you calling me by my first name, which is not the Hoosier way, but the Buffalo, upstate New York way! I can honestly say that it was truly honor to have you all here with us this weekend. I consider you all to be a part of our family and you are all welcome here anytime! I just want to take a moment to thank Pinto Kenny, Pancho Billa, Joanie, and Captain Buffalo for coming to Indianapolis and for being a part of the festivities. I would like to thank Tim Ingle and Nickel City Ketchup for partnering with The Official Indianapolis Bills Backers to make today such a huge success. I would also like to thank Monarch Beverages for the Labatt and Labatt Blue to keep us all hydrated. I would estimate that we had about 350-400 people in attendance today. A HUGE THANK YOU to all of you that attended today's tailgate!
Last but definitely not least, I want to give a huge shout out to my wife and your amazing Indianapolis Bills Backers Chapter President. This has been a long time of planning. If not for your passion for the Bills and your commitment to the their fans, none of this would have happened. You did this! I'm incredibly proud of you and everything that happened this weekend was due to your hard work and dedication. A big thank you again to everyone for their generosity and for showing Indianapolis how to tailgate and for spreading the Buffalove! Go Bills!
